Paris Hilton launches own watch collection

DECEMBER 01, 2005 - New York -- Surrounded by throngs of
paparazzi and neck-craning tourists, Paris Hilton unveiled
her limited-edition watch collection at Manhattan's Tourneau
Time Machine store on Wednesday.
The bulk of the half-hour press conference served as a photo
opportunity for celebrity media to snap photos of Hilton wearing
a $100,000, diamond-encrusted watch from the collection, named
simply Paris Hilton.
"I worked with the watchmakers and designed the entire
watch and the box it came in," Hilton said during a brief
question-and-answer session with press. "It has two of
my favorite things: diamonds and travel."
Suited for Hilton's jet-setting lifestyle, the lavish watches
bear more than 1,000 diamonds each and show the five time
zones. The watches went on sale Wednesday at four Tourneau
stores throughout the country. Hilton plans to expand the
line to eventually include pieces at more entry-level price
points.
"I'm going to have watches in all different price ranges,
so all my fans and anyone can afford them," she said.
