 Generally,
manufacturers produce watches with bands that fit most wrists.
Wrist bands should come with several holes or removable links
in order to fit a variety of wrist sizes. Thus the standard
watch band lengths, which depend on the style and manufacturer,
do work for most people.
Women’s standard watchband lengths are from 6 ¾
to 8 inches.
Men’s standard watchband lengths are from 7 ¾
to 9 ½ inches.
But as for everything else, there are exceptions, and some
wrists are too small or large to fit the standard watch band
lengths. For wrists that are too small, many watches can be
readjusted by the jeweler just by taking a couple links off.
Ask a company if they special order sizes, if you need a watchband
of a length longer than the standard watch band lengths.
In some watch bands made of leather or other soft materials,
you can punch a new hole. There will still be space left in
standard watch band lengths for your own holes, so just carefully
use a punch and hammer, and make it fit.
